Full-Grain Hides

Unlike corrected or genuine leathers that are sanded down and coated in synthetic polymers, we exclusively use 100% full-grain hide — the densest, most authentic top layer of the leather hide.

Every natural pore, neck crease, and individual hide marking remains unblemished. As you wear your jacket or travel with your duffle, the hide absorbs sunlight, natural oil, and life experiences, developing a lustrous copper-toned patina.

02. The Organic Vat Cure

40-Day Traditional
Vegetable Tanning

While commercial mass manufacturers use harsh chromium salts to tan hides in under 24 hours, True Leather adheres strictly to Vegetable Tanning.

Our hides cure slowly inside wooden vats filled with natural tree bark, chestnut tannins, and mimosa extracts over 40 to 60 days. This slow organic process infuses the hide with a distinct warm earthy scent, natural stiffness, and lifetime fiber durability.
